  •  Collaborate with scientists, engineers, technology transfer professionals, and program leadership to ensure communications accurately and effectively represent technical work and partnership opportunities.

What success looks like:

  • Expand qualified engagement: Build awareness and generate qualified inquiries through outreach, events, awards, website, and social media.
  • Drive meaningful engagement: Deliver timely communications and events that strengthen relationships and create opportunities.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, outreach, marketing, event management, or a related field
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content development skills, with experience creating communications across multiple channels, including newsletters, websites, social media, case studies, success stories, and other external-facing materials.
  • Experience translating complex technical, scientific, or engineering concepts into clear, compelling content for business, industry, government, or external audiences.
  • Experience planning and executing events from concept through delivery, including stakeholder coordination, logistics, approvals, and communications; experience supporting Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) regional or national events is a plus.
  • Experience working effectively with scientists, engineers, researchers, government stakeholders, and external partners, ideally in a federal agency, federal laboratory, government contractor, research organization, or other regulated environment.
  • Experience with technology transfer, innovation, research commercialization, or industry partnerships is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple communications and outreach priorities while meeting deadlines and navigating government requirements related to approvals, branding, and public release.
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant communications, outreach, content, or event experience.
  • Bachelors degree required
  • U.S. citizenship required; an active or transferable security clearance is a plus.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
