What to expect:

Are you a curious and motivated student with a growth mindset? Join our team to gain hands-on experience working on cutting-edge projects that commercialize technologies and launch ventures. From federal labs to research institutions, your work will directly contribute to innovation while immersing you in entrepreneurship, venture creation, and technology commercialization. Projects will include supporting novel new incubation programs for innovations in the energy, climate and health/bio sectors.

What you’ll do: 

  • Execute and support on complex workstreams, including program management, mentor programs, guest speakers, and immersive experiences.
  • Analyze deep-tech trends across ecosystems, including federal research labs, venture capital, and emerging regional clusters.
  • Build and share key metrics and narratives while learning about the federal and regional innovation ecosystem.
  • Assist with content creation and curation to support program needs.
  • Communicate complex topics in science, technology, and entrepreneurship with polished business communication skills.
  • Engage in professional development activities such as training and networking to enhance your skills while building and nurturing relationships with industry experts, entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, and various stakeholders.
  • Thrive in a creative and collaborative work environment where you are empowered to contribute to strategy and problem-solving.
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of a startup by taking on additional tasks as needed.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree (background in science, engineering, or business is a plus but not required)
  • Maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Loves meeting new people and building relationships with a wide range of people (e.g., university stakeholders, scientist/inventors, entrepreneur, investor, government, etc.).
  • Exhibits positive and enthusiastic attitude; loves working in a fast-paced and fluid environment and can work under tight deadlines with a positive attitude.
  • Tech savvy. Expert in a handful of SAAS systems and interested in learning other software as required. Must be fluent in modern office software, including Google Suite. Preference for prior experience with Airtable.
