What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Venture Advisory Coordinator to oversee the execution and scaling of technology commercialization and business advisory engagements, including but not limited to SBIR/STTR programs. This role combines delivery experience with structured program coordination, quality oversight, and continuous process improvement. You will supervise external 1099 subject matter experts, ensure rigor and consistency across engagements, integrate AI-enabled tools into workflows, and help systematize how FedTech delivers high-impact advisory services to dual-use startups.
Typical functions include:
- Oversee a portfolio of commercialization advisory engagements across federal innovation programs and private-sector clients, ensuring consistency, quality control, and disciplined execution across multiple concurrent projects.
- Directly manage and evaluate 1099 subject matter experts and vendors, including performance feedback, deliverable review, and engagement coordination.
- Standardize templates, frameworks, and internal tools to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability across engagements.
- Perform technical, competitive, and market diligence using structured frameworks and AI-enabled research tools.
- Drive thoughtful integration of AI-enabled tools and SaaS platforms to elevate analytical rigor and delivery speed.
- Support onboarding and training processes for new contributors as programs scale.
- Lead or support select advisory engagements to maintain proximity to delivery and continuously refine internal standards.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Lead to ensure alignment between engagement execution and overall portfolio strategy.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in innovation consulting, technology commercialization, or business advisory or equivalent advanced education with 2+ years of experience (SBIR/STTR and TABA experience is a strong plus)
- Familiarity with federal innovation ecosystems (SBIR/STTR, TABA, etc.) or equivalent experience advising early-stage technology companies on commercialization strategy.
- Ideally exposure or experience in energy or defense sectors.
- Direct experience delivering structured advisory or consulting engagements, ideally including TABA.
- Demonstrated experience supervising consultants, coordinating external experts, or managing structured advisory programs.
- Strong ability to evaluate deliverable quality and enforce analytical and strategic rigor.
- Clear operational discipline and accountability across multi-phase engagements.
- Proven ability to design, refine, and scale structured advisory workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to leverage AI and modern SaaS platforms to improve product quality, speed, and scalability.

Compensation:
- Base salary range: $92-110k
- The salary range listed for this position is based on market data and internal compensation structure. The final compensation package will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and education. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, and offers may fall outside this range in exceptional cases.
- In addition to the base salary, compensation includes performance based bonus (OTE) and ability to earn equity

Location:
The position will be set up as a hybrid work arrangement in either of the following locations:
- 3 days in person at our headquarters in Arlington, VA, and 2 days remote
- 2 days in person at our office in Boston, MA and 3 days remote
