What you’ll do:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing Specialist who can take the lead on marketing initiatives for a variety of high-impact projects, including startup studios, startup accelerators, and showcase events. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing multiple projects, enjoys client interaction, and is comfortable analyzing data to continuously improve campaign performance. Working closely with the marketing team and Program Managers, you’ll have the opportunity to shape marketing strategies, produce engaging content, and bring creative ideas to life, ensuring that our programs resonate with their target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Liaison & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing on assigned projects, managing client expectations, delivering progress updates, and ensuring all marketing efforts align with client objectives and program goals.
  • Marketing Project Management: Lead the marketing strategy for each assigned project, driving the creation of campaigns that meet key milestones while maintaining consistency with FedTech's brand standards.
    • Reference past programs and baselines to develop effective outreach strategies
    • Use data to identify areas for improvement throughout each program; proactively ideate assets for campaign optimization.
  • Content & Copywriting: Write compelling copy for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, cold outreach emails, blog posts, and other marketing materials that resonate with government stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and/or industry professionals.
  • Visual Content Creation: Design engaging graphics for digital marketing campaigns, presentations, and web assets, ensuring visuals align with program objectives and branding.
  • Social Media Strategy Development: Craft detailed social media strategies that align with project goals. Create the content and assets needed for outreach, and work with the marketing manager to implement the strategy across various channels.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Collect and analyze marketing performance data during, and at the end of each program to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Identify trends and provide insights to refine strategies for future campaigns.
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Support the development of marketing campaigns that highlight FedTech’s unique offerings and program successes, ensuring they are delivered on time and resonate with target audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing team members to ensure brand alignment across projects, contributing to a cohesive and impactful marketing approach.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role with a focus on project management, client engagement, and creative content development.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and engaging copy tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and experience with digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing social media strategies.
  • A creative thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the tech commercialization and startup ecosystem is a plus.

Compensation: 

  • Base salary range: $70,000-90,000 based on education and experience
  • Ability to earn upside bonus and equity, rapid career progression

Location:

Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in person at our headquarters in Arlington, VA, and 2 days remote) is preferred. We are also open to candidates from the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
